Superior Head quality and Photogrammetry
I am passionate about head quality as a way to emotionally connect to the player and this naturally extended to an interest in capture and animation.
I have built two photogrammetry scan rigs that delivered best in class assets, with superior detail, coverage and I direct accurate FACs shapes that complement the facial rig. This included an end to end python tooled pipeline for directing the talent, processing the mesh and texture data and 3dsMax tooling for accurate retopology.
My knowledge and experience of FACs shapes and facial rigging allows me to direct external scan vendors with confidence. I have a good relationship with the team at 3 Lateral and Cubic Motion, and I was able to provide feedback that improved their processes and quality.
At Rocksteady, I was also responsible for directing characters core facial expressions, to ensure consistency with their DC brand and personality, and provide feedback to improve the quality of Pcap and facial animation sequences.
